As the Deer

Sunday Tapes: As the Deer

I was happy to lead with Jenn and Angie as we celebrated the 37th anniversary of FCBC Walnut! I liked the flow of our set and I was encouraged by how the songs showcased their skills, their servant hearts, as well as their love for our Savior.

We played By Faith, God is the Strength of My Heart and My Portion Forever, and Psalm 23 (Surely Goodness, Surely Mercy). You can watch the full 3-song set and step into our rehearsal.

Our song before the sermon was As the Deer. It's one I grew up with as a child and one that I want my children to know as well. I found it fitting to sing for this special Sunday.

Our closing song was Turn Your Eyes, and the chorus is a prayer as we look towards our future as the church and with everything else going in our personal lives and in the world.

You can also step into our rehearsal, where you can see some of our process but also just some purely joyful praise.
