GCD Writers’ Guild
One of my favorite things about my newsletter is the ability to connect different communities across Christian media. I want to give a special shoutout to The GCD Writers' Guild. They’re a community — a place for Christian writers to interact, share ideas, best practices, and encouragement with each other. They welcome writers of every level, from beginning communicators to published authors.
Gospel-Centered Discipleship just launched their latest book: Broken but Beautiful: Reflections on the Blessings of the Local Church. The local church is the bride of Christ and God’s plan to bless the world. These eclectic essays highlight many of those blessings and share the wonderful truth that, through all the sin and sorrow, Jesus continues to build his church.
Broken but Beautiful is edited by Benjamin Vrbicek and has contributions from many of the GCD staff writers and editors, as well as other writing partners of the ministry, including Rob Bentz, Lara d’Entremont, Timarie Friesen, Brianna Lambert, Chrys Jones, Erin Jones, Glenna Marshall, Timothy M. Shorey, Tom Sugimura, James Williams, Jeremy Writebol, and others. I’ll have a review coming soon!
