The Sum of Saving Knowledge

What must I know to be saved? In The Sum of Saving Knowledge, Crown & Covenant Publications presents all you need to know to be saved.

Originally published in 1650 by David Dickson and James Durham, this new gift edition uses a lightly edited and modernized text by David G. Whitla. It is a very small, pocket-size book β€” but it is handsomely bound in hardcover cloth. It brilliantly summarize the Westminster Standards, and I found it to be an enjoyable and edifying read.

Justified, Reconciled, Adopted

The book is divided into four parts: (1) The sum of saving knowledge, (2) the practical use of saving knowledge, (3) the warrants and motives to believe, and (4) the evidences of true faith. I was most moved to read of how God changes our state as soon as we are brought by faith into the Covenant of Grace: we are justified, reconciled, and adopted.

This book would make a great graduation or baptism gift. It can be read as a part of your daily devotions, during family worship, or simply as a refresher on such a critical doctrine. No matter how you use it, it will be refreshing to your spirit and edifying to your soul.

I received a media copy of The Sum of Saving Knowledge and this is my honest review.
