What Are My Podcast Goals?
“What are the goals for your podcasts?”
This is a great question because it causes me to clarify my intentions. I hope this article proves to be an encouragement and exhortation to you as you see how you can use your gifts, talents, and voice in many ways.
1. SVRGN
Life, love, and art. In this podcast, Jess and I discuss living the creative life together.
When we first started recording, we were in the middle of running Snociety - our poke and boba shop in Little Tokyo. I wanted us to do something more artsy and fun together where we could take a break from the food business.
Since we closed Snociety, we continue the podcast as a way to share what comes next in our creative endeavors. We hope to encourage Asian American Christian artists to fulfill their calling.
2. Sound Words
I use this podcast to interview my friends who lead worship and make music in and for the church.
Originally started as an audio companion to my blog, I am currently focusing on establishing a rotating cast of guests where we can talk about music ministry and life in general.
It is currently an unofficial podcast for FCBC Walnut. I share it to help us shape the worship culture at our church. Now that I am starting to incorporate leaders and writers from SOLA, I hope it can be a safe space to speak about the Asian American Christian creative community.
Pastor Hanley Liu and I discuss ministry and life together at FCBC Walnut.
After writing several songs with Hanley, I wanted to continue doing creative works together. This podcast was the answer.
I hope to give a glimpse behind the scenes of our church, but also let others in on the friendship that Hanley and I share.
