Joys of the 9-5 Job
Jess and I spent 1.5 years working at Snociety. I was working two full-time jobs. Jess was working non-stop, taking care of building maintenance, food vendors, employees, scheduling, payments, and more.
Snociety also consumed our weekends. Because Snociety was open on Saturday and Sunday, it was hard to rest and relax even when we were at our small group or at church.
In the past two weeks that Snociety has been closed to the public, we were able to regain some of our normal life back. Here are some ways we have been enjoying our evenings after working our normal 9-5.
Leaving our work at work.
Eating dinner together at home.
Exercising and running errands.
Finding time to be creative in the evenings.
Hanging out and seeing friends on weeknights.
Not everyone is afforded a job that they enjoy. Many people must work multiple jobs to make ends meet. I previously published articles about my own lessons from the night shift and how I would encourage others when you work on the weekend. But for this time in our lives, post-Snociety and without kids, we are grateful for what God has given us.
